W. James Antle III confronts the growing “Stop the Deportations” movement in the Daily Caller Thursday. He notes that Obama initially claimed to be deporting record numbers of illegal immigrants to try to create law enforcement credibility to pass amnesty legislation. Now, under increasing pressure from leftist and ethnic activists to stop deportations, Obama says “It’s not smart” to deport the typical illegal alien.
Writes Antle: “Sometimes, when you have over 11 million illegal immigrants already in the U.S. and more than 100 million worldwide who say they would like to move here, that means people are deported simply for being here illegally.”
