In testimony before Congress, Harvard economist George Borjas revealed that immigration, by depressing wages, brings a massive transfer of wealth from workers to employers–a total of one-half trillion dollars. Said Borjas, “What immigration really does is not so much increase the pie, as redistribute the wealth.”
