Immigrants Have Taken Most Jobs Since 2000

All of the net increase of U.S. jobs since 2000 has gone to immigrants, legal and illegal, according to government data analyzed by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS). The CIS analysts concluded that “Given the employment situation in the country, the dramatic increases in legal immigration contemplated by the Gang of Eight immigration bill seem out of touch with the realities of the U.S. labor market.”
