Hundreds of Migrants Cross into U.S. Every Night

Breitbart News has posted a video starkly showing raft after raft crossing the Rio Grande from Mexico, each of them loaded with illegal migrants and guided by a cartel smuggler. Meanwhile, Army National Guardsmen look on, helpless to interfere or do anything but hold flashlights to help the illegals make their way to waiting buses. The buses, driven by Border Patrol employees, then take the illegals on the next leg of their journey to a processing center and beyond, where most of them will begin new lives in America.

One Border Patrol agent, who requested anonymity, told a Breitbart reporter: “This happens every night … the Rio Grande Valley stations will arrest nearly 1,000 before daybreak.”

“Arrest” is a misleading term, of course. What’s happening is that the Border Patrol is simply receiving a hand-off of the cartels’ cargo. It will ferry that cargo to a processing station, give them food and necessary medical care, then provide free housing for a night or two before transporting them to somewhere in America. Through it all, they will attend to all their new charges’ needs and ensure their comfort and well-being. Very few of the illegals, especially those in possession of minor children, will ever be returned. Even the smugglers themselves, the Patrol’s unofficial partners in this bizarre scenario, are allowed to do their work unmolested, returning again and again to the river’s Mexican side, to bring more and more illegal migrants into the United States.

It’s all so matter of fact, as though this is the way of course a country should behave, coordinating with violent criminal gangs in the wholesale swamping of its own people by third-world migrants, who are seen as entitled to break every law governing foreign admittance, simply because they want to.
