Germans Shift on Immigration

A recent poll in Germany shows a shift in sentiment against mass immigration. It found that 52 percent of Germans believe that their country should “take in fewer refugees.”  Three years ago only 40 percent held this viewpoint. Another poll found that 54 percent percent of Germans believe that the disadvantages of immigration outweigh the advantages.

These views, however, aren’t likely to change German immigration policy–at least not anytime soon. Germany’s rulers, like the rulers of most western countries, are more attuned to globalist agendas than the concerns of most of their countrymen. Ironically, these rulers constantly affirm that they support the cause of democracy.
