Last year the Border Patrol detained a border crosser who was a member of the violent criminal gang MS-13. He claimed he had an aunt in Maryland and was released from custody and allowed to move there. Subsequently, he was charged with raping and murdering a young woman.
Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Tom McClintock (R-CA) have called on Secretary Xavier Becerra and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to explain why this individual was not identified as a gang member and detained. Reporting on this story, the Washington Examiner asked, “How many other violent gang members are being shepherded into and settled in the United States by the Biden Administration?”
