The New York Post reports that residents of El Paso, Texas, is growing less accepting of illegal alien traffic to and through their city. For a long time that traffic did not cause great concern. El Paso is heavily Democratic and 82 percent Hispanic–mostly of Mexican descent.
What’s causing a change of attitude is that the sheer size of the present flow of illegal migrants is putting a strain on local services. Another factor is that most of the new arrivals are non-Mexican. Large numbers are from Cuba, Haiti, and South America.
