December Saw Most Illegals in 20 Years

Border authorities encountered more than 225,000 302,000 [Updated] migrants along the US-Mexico border last month, the highest monthly total recorded since 2000, according to preliminary Homeland Security statistics. Most of the month saw an average of 10,000 encounters every day, though that tapered off near Christmas to a “mere” 7,000 or so. Get ready for a continued surge in the new year.

Meanwhile, U.S. and Mexican officials will meet again this month, this time in Washington. This will no doubt be a pointless follow-up to their pointless meeting in Mexico City last month.

Oh, and Biden’s DOJ is suing Texas for daring to try to protect their border with Mexico.

Happy New Year?
