The impending expiration of Title 42 is expected to massively increase the number of illegal migrants rushing our southern border. Don’t look to social media for the numbers, however, thanks to a new directive from the DHS.
An exclusive report on Breitbart News today cites an unnamed source within the CBP, who said the unprecedented order was issued Monday and was intended to take effect immediately. Breitbart notes the following:
The impact of the order is already evident from the lack of routine posts on social media accounts from several Border Patrol sectors. The content typically offers weekend or weekly recaps of migrant crossing statistics and other notable enforcement actions.
Once again, the Biden administration, which had promised total transparency, is acting to hide its actions and their results from the public at large. (Remember the midnight flights to small-town airports?) Is anyone surprised?
As for Title 42 itself, as we noted yesterday, it temporarily remains in effect until the full Supreme Court rules, but its days are clearly numbered.
