More Illegal Aliens Use ‘Magic Words’

In 2010 only one in 100 illegal aliens apprehended at the border claimed asylum. Now the word is out that making this claim fraudulently is a way to gain a foothold in the U.S. Currently, almost one in ten apprehended illegals are claiming asylum. Border Patrol Chief Mark Morgan observed that "We know that [friends, family, and smugglers] are coaching individuals on specifically on what to say when they come here . . . the magic words they need to say to claim [asylum]."

Trump: Knife Attacks a Reminder

President-elect Donald Trump said that the stabbing attacks by a Somali refugee at Ohio State University are a "tragic reminder" of the need for stricter immigration control. He observed that "immigration security is now national security.”

Border Patrol Union Endorses Kelly

The National Border Patrol Council (NBPC), the union that represents Border Patrol agents, has endorsed President-elect Trump's nomination of retired General John Kelly as secretary of Department of Homeland Security. Puzder Appointment Questioned

Many immigration control advocates question President-elect Trump's nomination of Andrew Puzder to become Secretary of Labor. Puzder has been a strong advocate of amnesty for illegal aliens and an advocate of the view that large number of foreign workers must be imported to do jobs Americans won't or can't do. Since his nomination Puzder has stated that as Labor Secretary he will make jobs for Americans his priority.

CA Politicians Vow to Defend Illegals

Pro-alien politicians in California promise that they will try to block all efforts of the in-coming Trump Administration to deport illegal aliens. Leaders of both houses of the state legislature have introduced legislation toward that end.
