Most Refugees Not in Danger

The Center for Immigration Studies cites data from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) showing that "For most refugees, resettlement is not a matter of life an death." Of the refugees it submitted for resettlement in 2017, only 1.1 percent were in "emergency" status and only 6.4 percent were in "urgent" status. The remaining 92.5 were classified as "normal" status, which the UNHCR defines as "[circumstances] where there are no immediate medical, social, or security concerns which would merit expedited processing."  

Maricopa GOP Censures McCain

Brooks: Dems Promote Immigration for Power

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) charged that the "Democrat strategy" is to import an underclass of foreign-born voters in order to enhance Democratic political power. He stated, "The Democrats have seen how [mass immigration] affects political power, regardless of [immigrants'] ability to support themselves in our country. House Passes Anti-Wall Resolution

The House passed H.J 46, a resolution to end the emergency that President Trump declared in order to build walls and fencing on the Mexican border. The measure passed with 245 in favor and 182 against. That tally falls short of the two-thirds margin necessary to override a presidential veto.
