We all know by now that the Biden administration for the past year has been conducting a secret invasion of illegal nationals into America’s heartland, numbering at least 44,957 for just the first nine months of 2021. Now, thanks to a request by Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), the DHS has revealed the approximate cost of Biden’s betrayal.
In round figures, it comes to at least $340 million. And that’s just the cost of “detention-related transportation.” Like the midnight flights to obscure airports, the cost of transportation that is not “detention related” remains a mystery.
In addition, the government has been paying the medical expenses of the half million or so illegals it has admitted into this country. Those expenses total at least $212 million.
Then there’s the cost of importing and housing those 95,000 Afghans. That’s around $688 million, according to the Defense Department. And don’t forget the $4 billion promised to Central America to deal with the mythical “root causes” of migration.
All told, that’s more than 5.25 billion dollars and we’ve hardly begun to count.
The profligacy of this administration with taxpayer money is staggering. As Rich Lowry of National Review says, “Joe Biden is shooting money out of a bazooka at everything in sight.”
