From 2020 to 2021 arrests of illegal aliens declined by 40 percent, and deportations of noncitizens fell to 59,011, the lowest level ever. The Biden Administrations claims that during this period it was also increasing the arrests of dangerous alien felons.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and 21 of his colleagues question this claim. In a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandero Mayorkas they complain that the administration’s lax enforcement against foreign criminals is endangering law-abiding American citizens.
