AP Blames Putin for Exposing Biden’s Immigration Policy

The Associated Press, ever a staunch establishment supporter, has charged that Vladimir Putin is responsible for spreading “misleading” information about the crisis on our borders. In a March 1 article, the AP claimed that Russian tricksters had posted accounts in US media in an attempt to mislead the American public:

In social media posts, online videos and stories on websites, these accounts misstate the impact of immigration, highlight stories about crimes committed by immigrants, and warn of dire consequences if the U.S. doesn’t crack down at its border with Mexico. Many are misleading. . . .

Assuming their charges to be self-evidently true, the AP neglected to identify exactly which  such “accounts” were incorrect. It is apparently enough to tell their readers that everything is fine on the border, they should ignore those stories about crimes by “alleged” aliens, and they must forget all that stuff about “dire consequences.”

So what is the motive of Vlad the Deceiver? He apparently wants to fool gullible Americans into considering their own country to be more important than Ukraine. What can you say of such a fiend?

It was of course the Democrats here who tried to link Ukraine and our border troubles, offering a deal whereby Joe Biden would pretend to protect the borders if Congress would just hand over the remainder of our pretend national treasury to the international grifter Volodymyr Zelensky. Putin put the kibosh on that for his own nefarious purposes.

A Cold-War-era book by Werner Keller comes to mind: Are the Russians Ten Feet Tall? The intent of that 1961 book was to explode the growing myth among Americans that, following Sputnik, Russia was invincible. The Associated Press seems to have revived that myth in its claims that the American people — whom polls show regard border security as their primary concern — are actually dupes of an all-powerful, Svengali-like Russian state.

Insisting that misleading the American public is their job, the AP is telling us, “All is well. Pay no attention to that man behind the iron curtain.”
