On Tuesday, the largest federation of labor unions in the nation, that in the past worked to protect the welfare of American workers, wrote Pres. Obama recommending that he take executive action to “grant affirmative relief with work authorization to individuals who are low priorities for removal or eligible for prosecutorial discretion under existing DHS policies.” Those Obama policies put almost all of the estimated 12 million illegals in the U.S. in the low priority for deportation category, with convicted felons being the only significant category of illegals subject to deportation.
The Congressional Budget Office has determined that increasing the number of work permits would lower the wages of American workers and cause others to lose their jobs. The AFL-CIO, along with almost every other big player in the Democratic Party, has apparently decided that creating a new Democrat-majority electorate through mass third world immigration is more important than protecting Americans.
