An editorial Wednesday in Investors Business Daily underscores how failure to enforce immigration laws is leading to a breakdown in the rule of law well beyond immigration. Examples include illegals flooding public schools without proper immunizations, being allowed to break identity theft laws with impunity, obtaining welfare in violation of the law, etc.
“It’s an ugly picture of a system that exempts illegals not only from immigration laws but from all other laws as well. No wonder it’s called a broken system. It’s broken, all right, but only because our laws aren’t enforced.”
