U.S. Is ‘Swamped’ with Drug Traffic

Retired ICE agent Victor Avila stated on Fox News Live that the U.S. is being “swamped” with drugs coming across our border and affirmed that our country needs to do more to stop this traffic. From June to July of this year, seizures of fentanyl at the border increased 200 percent.

“The seizures are good,” Avila observed, “but that means that it’s [still] coming in through every porous part of our open border.” He noted the high death toll of young Americans who have overdosed on fentanyl.

The former agent added that the U.S. must put pressure on Mexico to stop the drug flow. He added that the Biden Administration is doing “absolutely nothing” to deal with the problem.
