The Great Replacement Is Real

The Quote Below—More Misinformation from the Media

“It is becoming a trend: More and more Republicans have been signing on to “great replacement theory.” Because this worldview posits various versions of a nefarious liberal scheme to replace native-born Americans with non-White outsiders, it’s often analyzed through a racial prism. . . .

“A particularly vile “great replacement” rant that Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) unleashed on Fox News  opens a window on all of this.

“’The revolution has begun,” Patrick told host Laura Ingraham. Speaking about the president, Patrick added: “A silent revolution by the Democrat Party and Joe Biden to take over the country.”. . .

“‘Who do you think they are going to vote for?” Patrick seethed. “So this is trying to take over our country without firing a shot.” Patrick added this flouted the Constitution’s guarantee of republican government and protection against ‘invasion.’

“The specific situation triggering Patrick is that thousands of Haitian migrants have crossed the Rio Grande, creating an emergency for federal officials. The administration has extended temporary protected status to migrants from Haiti amid an earthquake and political upheaval there, so they may not be expelled.

“Patrick says this decision, and the broader ‘allowing’ of millions to cross the border, are fundamental threats to republican government. He says this is a scheme to import people who will have children — and become citizens — who will inevitably vote Democratic, further threatening self-rule.

“This is just loathsome demagoguery. . . . Biden has the authority to grant temporary protected status because our democratically elected representatives in Congress gave the president that authority  . . . Similarly, we ‘allow’ people to seek asylum here because our elected representatives passed a law requiring it. . . .

“When Tucker Carlson stirred his own “great replacement” controversy, it underscored the point: Carlson suggested the act of allowing legal immigration itself undermines the nation’s democratic character.

“The ‘great replacement’ nonsense is yet another example of . . . derangement, and this mental habit is becoming dogma in the GOP.” – A Texas Republican’s Vile Rant Shows ‘Great Replacement’ Is becoming GOP Dogma, Greg Sargent, Washington Post, 9/17/21 [Link]

Fact Check on Above Quote:– Sargent rages against the “great replacement” theory, but provides no evidence that it is false. Can any honest person deny that many Democrats view immigration, legal and illegal, as a means to impose one-party rule of their party on our country? One of their prominent political strategists, Robert Creamer, openly proposed this strategy in his book How Progressives Can Win. He and most other knowledgeable Democrats are aware that immigrants vote Democratic by a margin of two-to-one. It’s to their advantage, however, to keep this naked self-interest under wraps as much as possible. It could turn public opinion against them—as well as alert Republicans to the electoral peril they face. Consequently, they huff and puff with great indignation against replacement “theory” in hope of diverting attention from its reality.

Sargent tries another diversion with his claim that mass immigration doesn’t threaten democracy with a one-party state—because that immigration was democratically approved. His dishonesty is breathtaking. Our democratically enacted laws never intended the consequence of our de facto open borders today. One can find no better example than the fate of California’s Prop.187. Passed in 1994 by 60 percent of the state’s voters, it proposed to end public benefits for illegal aliens—a very reasonable idea. Unfortunately, one federal judge decided she didn’t like it and voided the law. Another example: Former President Obama unlawfully ignored Congress (the people’s representatives) when he unilaterally proclaimed amnesty for illegal aliens in the DACA category.

The two laws Sargent cites don’t support his case at all. Yes, Congress did pass temporary protected status (TPS),which allows aliens to remain in the U.S. The key word is “temporary.” In actual practice they almost always remain permanently—thanks to the actions of courts and other players who thwart the intent of the law. And yes, it is true that laws require us to consider applicants for asylum. But those laws never intended that we allow people to overwhelm our system with bogus asylum claims. The Trump Administration took effective steps to stop this fraud, but the Biden Administration reversed them.

It is a mistake, however, to blame all of the great replacement on Democrats. Republicans who support mass immigration are looking for a way to replace American workers with cheaper and more compliant foreigners. Aiding and abetting both sides are “journalists” who make vile and loathsome accusations against truth-telling patriots.
