Researcher Faces Prosecution

Mass immigration advocates in western countries maintain that immigrants do not commit crimes at higher rates than natives. What might happen when research comes to a different conclusion? In Sweden Professor Kristina Sundquist at Lund University is facing prosecution because of a study she conducted.

It found, as summarized by Remix News, that “immigrants are not only disproportionately overrepresented in rape cases, but despite being a minority in Sweden, they commit the vast majority of sexual violence. This is despite the fact that the study only analyzed cases between the period of 2000 and 2015, that is, before the enormous 2015 influx of migrants from the Middle East and Africa.”

Such a threat of prosecution would not happen in the U.S. because our First Amendment guarantees free speech, a protection generally lacking in European countries. Nevertheless, researchers in the U.S. often face considerable social and economic pressure to reach “politically correct” conclusions.
