A recent poll by The Washington Post/University of Maryland found overwhelming support for ending immigration as long as the coronavirus crisis continues. The poll asked: “Would you support or oppose temporarily blocking nearly all immigration into the United States during the coronavirus outbreak?” Sixty-five percent of respondents said yes, 34 percent said no, and one percent were undecided.
