An Ipsos poll found that a majority of Europeans oppose the policy of the European Union to force migrant quotas on it member countries. Fifty-one percent affirmed this viewpoint, with only 16 percent supporting the policy. Thirty-two percent said their view was “neither positive nor negative.” Fifty-nine percent said that the EU needs to make action against illegal migration a higher priority.
In June the European Parliament will hold elections. Immigration is shaping up to be one of the top issues.
