The Obama Administration behind the scenes is quietly trying to promote passage of amnesty legislation. The effort is being kept low-profile to prevent Republicans who support amnesy from looking like they’re doing the bidding of the administration. Said Cecilia Munoz, director of the White House Domestic Policy Council and the president’s point person on immigration, “We are trying hard not to be heavy handed about what we are doing,” Prior to joining the administration, Munoz was a vice president of the National Council of La Raza (the Race), an illegal alien advocacy group.
