The Los Angeles Times reports that a number of up-scale Americans have been moving to Mexico City. Mexicans in parts of the city where this influx has occurred are beginning to feel outnumbered, and they are not happy about it.
The article quoted a Mexican in a restaurant who stated to those around him: “We’re the only brown people. We’re the only people speaking Spanish except the waiters.” Many Americans living in the U.S., particularly in the southwest, can appreciate how these Mexicans feel.
