Mayorkas: Solve Border Crisis by Giving Jobs to Migrants

The border crisis, although long denied by the White House, is one of the most pressing issues facing the Biden administration. Thousands of migrants are crossing the southern border every month, overwhelming the immigration system and creating a humanitarian challenge.

But what is the solution to this complex problem? According to Alejandro Mayorkas, the Secretary of Homeland Security and Biden’s pro-migrant border chief, the answer is simple: let 10 million migrants take American jobs.

In a recent hearing, Mayorkas was asked if there was room for a compromise on border security before a deal on migration policy. His response was surprising and revealing:

I am an unrelenting optimist, but I will share with you the following:

What was articulated this week [by congressional legislators at hearings] is that … “We have 10 to 11 million vacant jobs, we have an incredible supply of [migrant] labor, and … we will not fix something like that until you secure the border.”

And my view of that is, it is a remarkable formula that [Congress] is holding the solution hostage until [Congress] fixes the problem.

In other words, Mayorkas thinks that Congress can solve the border crisis and the alleged shortage of workers by allowing the migrants across the border to take the jobs.

This proposal raises many questions, not that the White House cares. How would this affect the American workers who are already struggling to find employment and decent wages? How would this impact the social services and infrastructure that are already strained by the influx of migrants? How would this ensure the security and sovereignty of the nation?

Mayorkas did not address any of these issues in his statement. Nor did he face any challenging questions from the lawmakers or the media. His open-borders agenda is actually shared by many GOP politicians, who favor cheap labor over American interests. For example, GOP Tony Gonzales (R-TX) and presidential candidate Nikky Haley have both argued that illegal immigration should be stopped but that CEOs should be allowed to hire foreign migrants instead of Americans.

The American people deserve better than this. They deserve a government that puts their needs and rights first, not those of foreign nationals who break the law. They deserve a government that secures the border and enforces the immigration laws, not one that rewards lawlessness and incentivizes more illegal crossings. They deserve a government that protects their jobs and wages, not one that sells them out to corporate interests and globalist elites.

The border crisis can be solved, but not by giving jobs to migrants. It can be solved by restoring order, dignity, and fairness to our immigration system. And by saying adios to public “servants” like Alejandro Nicholas Mayorkas.
