Massachusetts Needs a Helping Hand w/ Migrants

The all-girl brain trust up in Boston is having a little problem with a whole lot of illegal migrants they seem to have ill-advisedly invited during a protracted episode of insanity.

Gov. Maura Healey on Tuesday declared a “state of emergency” in the commonwealth upon realizing they had under-estimated the number of shelters they were going to need to house the migrants they have been urging to come and stay.

It turns out Massachusetts is a “right to shelter” state, meaning by law anybody there, whether they’ve been there 50 years or five minutes, has a legal claim to a roof over his/her/its head.

There are about 80 percent more people, mostly migrants, claiming that right this year than there were last year, thanks to Joe Biden’s open-borders program down south. The problem, as Ms. Healey sees it, is that those wonderfully brave parents were supposed to stay down south. Why do they have to come here? Just because we said we’d promise to meet their every need? What’s up with that??

Her Dem sidekick, Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll, echoed Healey’s sentiments the next day, adding a request we’re sure the good folks up north will be happy to agree to. Borrowing a crackpot notion from NYC’s Mayor Adams, the veritable patron saint of crackpot notions, she asked: “If you have an extra room or suite in your home, please consider hosting a family.”

C’mon, guys, lend a helping hand! Are you with me?!

So far, the response has been a bit underwhelming, as it has been in New York, but the good people of the Bay State are certain to come together on this, we’re sure. Not like those people in, ugh, Texas.
