The Biden Administration probably will move with caution to repeal the immigration reforms of the Trump Administration, says Mark Kirkorian who heads the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS). The new administration, he believes, is concerned that its open-border policies could trigger a massive flood of migrants across the border. That perception could backfire and bring demands for effective border control. To avoid that perception Biden will seek to manage the flood in stages so that it won’t seem quite so threatening.
