A federal district judge in Nevada has ruled against a long-standing law which makes it a felony for illegal aliens to re-enter the U.S. The judge, Judge Miranda Du, characterized the law as racist because it has disproportionately affected Latinos. She didn’t acknowledge that Latinos bring this upon themselves by disproportionally breaking the law.
Her ruling is nonbinding, but it could set a legal precedent for similar rulings if it is not overruled by higher courts.
