The House of Thursday passed two amnesty bills which would grant legal residence to approximately five million illegal aliens. One bill applies to illegals in the “Dream” category, and the other applies to illegal residents claiming to be farm workers. The latter bill ironically is titled the Farm Workforce Modernization Act. Reliance on illegal immigration for farm labor is a major factor in preventing modernization of agriculture through mechanization.
