Cruz: To Martha’s Vineyard, Go!

Amid reports that the millions of illegals the Biden administration is admitting into our country are being dumped into red states and in response to the ordeal that citizens of his state of Texas have had to endure this year, Senator Ted Cruz has introduced a bill to establish migrant processing centers in liberal strongholds such as Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.Cruz’s Stop the Surge Act (full name, “Stop the Surge of Unsafe Rio Grande Encampments Act of 2021”) would establish processing centers in the following cities:

  • Block Island, R.I.
  • Greenwich, Conn.
  • Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.
  • Cambridge, Mass.
  • Governors Island, N.Y.
  • Rehoboth Beach, Del.
  • Nantucket, Mass.
  • Newport, R.I.
  • Scarsdale, N.Y.
  • Palo Alto, Calif.
  • Yountville, Calif.
  • St. Helena, Calif.
  • North Hero, Vt.

On his website, Cruz stated the following:

The legislation would provide much needed relief to Border Patrol and local law enforcement who have been stretched beyond capacity at the Texas border, and require insulated communities to help shoulder the burdens of their preferred open-border policies.

Officially, the Act would require any Department of Homeland Security official “upon encountering any alien who has illegally entered the United States in a covered Border Patrol sector, [to] immediately relocate such alien to any of the new ports of entry.”

“Stop the Surge” is not likely to get anywhere, but should it become law, there go the neighborhoods, Muffin.
