CBO: Amnesty Would Be Costly

The cost of the illegal alien amnesty proposed in the Biden’s Administration’s Build Back Better Act would total $124 billion during the ten years following its passage, according to The Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

In a summary of the CBO’s findings, the Center for Immigration Studies notes that “The primary reason . . . [this] amnesty would result in large new expenditures . . . is that amnesty recipients would be able to receive Affordable Care Act subsidies, Medicaid, the Earned Income and Child Tax Credits, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, often called food stamps), Social Security, and Medicare to a much greater extent than they would without legal status.”
