As we recently reported, apprehensions of illegal aliens at the Mexican border totaled 164,973 in February, a seven percent increase from January. Interestingly, Mexican illegal immigrants were a significant part of the increase. In recent years the number of Mexican illegal aliens has declined or remained stable, as the numbers of other nationalities have increased. Will lax border control invite a new surge of Mexicans? We’ll see.
