Citing government documents and reports, CBS News reported that the Biden Administration, during the past two years, has admitted 514,000 illegal aliens under parole authority. CBS calls this “the largest expansion of legal immigration in modern U.S. history.”
This news agency doesn’t mention what the administration action is blatantly at odds with the law that authorizes parole. It allows for the admission of foreigners without documents on a carefully-selected one-by-one basis. Biden, in contrast, offers parole indiscriminately to large numbers of migrants on the bogus grounds that they have legitimate claims to asylum.
In this fashion the administration can allege that it is reducing illegal immigration. The reality is that it accomplishes this by simply redefining illegal aliens as legal residents. Supposedly the term of parole is temporary, lasting until asylum claims are judged. Since most won’t qualify for asylum they will simply remain in the U.S. With Biden’s gutting of immigration law enforcement, they will face virtually no risk of deportation.
