In September of last year, an internal U.S. Border Patrol memo surfaced revealing that the agency “continues to experience critical shortages of frontline personnel.”
In January, DHS Secretary Mayorkas met with angry and frustrated Border Patrol agents in Laredo, Texas, and was told morale among agents was at an “all-time low.”
And just this month, February 2022, Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) told Newsweek that the Border Patrol agents in his district were “beyond a breaking point.” The agency, he said, is suffered a rising “number of suicides and alcohol-related incidents” as well as shortages due to early retirements. It has had to request help from local law enforcement to try to do its job.
All this comes when illegal migrant encounters are at an all-time high.
So what does Joe Biden do about it?
A CBP memo obtained yesterday by Just the News, says the agency’s office of field operations is seeking volunteers “to deploy immediately to Poland for ‘Operation Ukraine Support.'” [emphasis added] The newly deployed agents will be “expected to perform all assigned duties and may be required to work irregular shifts and schedules, up to seven days per week including holidays and weekends,” the memo reads.
Once again, in an act breath-taking in its arrogance, Joe Biden shows how little he cares about Americans and how much he is willing to sacrifice on behalf of others half a world away, in this case his family’s benefactors, Ukraine.
