The frenzy to relocate seemingly the entire population of Afghanistan continues.
Democratic socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is telling the British Independent newspaper that Joe Biden needs to issue visas for “whatever is necessary,” but at least 200,000 Afghan refugees.
So far, Biden has declared at least 65,000 such visas will be granted, but the ceiling continues to rise.
The Defense Department is planning to host up to 30,000 on military bases across the country, including Fort McCoy in Wisconsin and Fort Bliss in Texas. Airbnb says it will house 20,000 free of charge around the world. As of Wednesday, August 25, the U.S. had reportedly helped evacuate “more than 80,000” from Kabul, their destinations unknown. Meanwhile, reports are coming in of false passports being used and U.S.-bound Afghanis on terrorist watch lists.
For some, where the packing of this country with the foreign-born is concerned, the sky is always the limit, so get ready.
