Following anti-immigration protests and riots in Dublin, Irish elites are proposing a crack-down free speech in Ireland by stigmatizing anti-immigration views as “hate speech.” To discredit mainstream opposition to mass immigration, the Irish media are mislabeling this opposition as “far-right.” The disturbances in Dublin followed knife attacks on Irish children by an immigrant.
Leading the charge against Irish freedom is Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, of ethnic Indian background. Varadkar seems to harbor prejudice against Irish ethnicity. He once complained that Ireland’s government is “very white” and that for the sake of “diversity” it “very much needs to change.” Ireland is 94.1 percent white.
Elon Musk, the CEO of X (formerly Twitter), strongly denounced Varadkar’s proposals to restrain “hate.” Musk declared, “Ironically, the Irish PM hates the Irish people.”
