Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, cited a report revealing that illegal aliens released into the U.S. are imposing a heavy burden on our health care system.
The report states that “Hospital and emergency room care for illegal aliens is one of the most significant expenses. Consequently, this has led to significant costs for hospitals because providers are often not reimbursed for these services.” The report quoted Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s statement that illegal aliens were costing his state between $62 to $90 million a year in medical expenses.
