Dedicated Docket: Many Violators, Few Deportations

The “dedicated/detained docket” program, initiated by the Biden administration last year to expedite asylum claims, has so far taken over the cases of more than 60,000 illegal migrants and resulted in about 11,000 deportation orders. By the end of July, however, only about 150 persons had actually been deported, according to the L.A. Times.

Reacting to those numbers on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) said on Monday, “These numbers, these LA Times numbers, it shows that the administration isn’t doing what it’s supposed to do and expel people that do not qualify for asylum.”

There’s nothing surprising about this. The Biden administration has ignored every opportunity to deport or otherwise remove illegal aliens from this country. It has, for example, classified certain types of illegals (such as pregnant women) and many areas where illegals congregate (such as playgrounds, protests, rehab facilities, homeless shelters, schools, parks, places of worship, hospitals, rallies, parades, etc) as off-limits to agents seeking immigration-law violators.

This administration in every way and at every turn has shown itself overwhelmingly reluctant to deny admittance to or remove anyone illegally here. With an executive branch so committed to ignoring the law, who needs legislative amnesty? (Which is, of course, the method to their madness.)
