We recently discussed a sampling of the illegal and violent hijinks that some of the newly imported Afghan evacuees have been up to after cadging a trip to America. Those reports were largely from the random public press. Now, we have a report from the Department of Defense detailing just how reckless the Biden administration has been with American security in its hastily implemented “Operation Allies Welcome.”
The report, released February 15 by the DoD Inspector General, reveals how the administration willy-nilly resettled unvetted Afghans with “potentially significant security concerns” in America and how those evacuees have since gone missing.
The report describes how, after belatedly learning of the evacuees’ security issues, the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) attempted to locate them–mostly without success. The report states:
For example, as of September 17, 2021, the NGIC had identified 31 Afghans in [the U.S.] who had derogatory information. Of those 31, only 3 could be located.
To date, more than 74,400 Afghans have been resettled in American communities across 46 states.
Responding to the report, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), pointed to lawmakers who collaborated with the Biden administration in bringing in the unvetted Afghans. Brooks told Breitbart News:
The first duty of any government is to protect its citizens. Joe Biden is both incapable and unwilling to perform his duty. Middle Eastern and illegal aliens are driven in unmarked vans and flown and dumped across America in the dark of night. Many are dangerous security risks. Yet the federal government often does not even know where they are. These Middle Eastern and illegal alien programs are funded by weak-kneed, debt junkie RINO “Republicans” and socialist Democrats alike. Republicans should be fighting these threats with every tool at our disposal, not voting with Democrats who cause incalculable damage and death to American citizens.
Breitbart notes that the mass resettlement was first authorized by 49 House and Senate Republicans who joined Democrats in September 2021. Later, in December, 20 House and Senate Republicans helped Democrats authorize an additional $7 billion to fund the “endless Afghan migration.”
Brooks concluded:
Americans shouldn’t be forced to risk terrorism, illegal alien crime, job losses, wage suppression, or any other number of things by a bipartisan America Last coalition that is dead set on weakening America.
