Government Sneaking in Migrants on Late-Night Flights

We’ve mentioned this before, such as on May 20 of this year, when we reported on a news story by Chattanooga ‘s WRCB-TV that planes from the southern border were secretly unloading illegal migrants in cities such as Atlanta, Mobile, and Little Rock.

Now apparently the administration has amped up the policy, as the NY Post yesterday published an exclusive detailing how thousands of such illegals are being flown into Florida and New York surreptitiously, in the dead of night, in a failed attempt to escape notice.

“The Biden administration is systematically spreading the southern border crisis to communities all around the country, often shrouded in secrecy and under the cloak of darkness.” — Rob Astorino, a Republican candidate for NY governor

This round of flights is said to have begun as recently as August, though clearly the practice itself has been going on at some level most of this year. The Post reports the following:

Last week, two planeloads of migrants were seen landing at the Westchester County Airport, one at 10:49 p.m. on Wednesday and another at 9:52 p.m. Friday. The newspaper estimates that since August 8, a total of about 2,000 illegals have been transported this way. The flights routinely arrive at night, many after midnight. The migrants are then bused to places like The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Newburgh, and Bridgeport and Danbury in Connecticut.

Some of the flights from Texas to Westchester have stopped off at Jacksonville, Florida, delivering migrants to a juvenile detention center near Tallahassee. That news came as a surprise to Governor DeSantis, who expressed outrage through a spokesman, saying: “If the Biden Administration is so confident that their open-border policy is good for our country, why the secrecy?”

The flights into Westchester appear to be continuing on virtually a nightly basis, as buses loaded with migrants are routinely seen leaving the airport at all hours. One nearby resident said the late-night flights had been ongoing since mid-summer, and that lights formerly illuminating the airport seem to have been turned off to provide cover.

Contacted about the flights, a White House spokesman insisted that, in accord with laws protecting “unaccompanied children,” that’s all we’re seeing brought in. A glance at some of the Post’s photos would suggest otherwise.
