White House Fears GOP President Might Reverse Obama Amnesty

White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer told the Wall Street Journal on Friday that he fears if Sen. Ted Cruz was elected president he would overturn Obama’s executive amnesty. “Our first 100 days we spent a lot of time signing executive orders undoing what Bush did, and I would like not to be sitting on a beach somewhere reading about President Cruz doing that to us…” said Pfeiffer.

Pfeiffer said that Obama’s executive amnesty was one of the reasons 2014 was a “year of great progress” for the “progressive agenda.”

Sen. Cruz is feared and disliked by most members of the bipartisan establishment in Congress who support amnesty. Washington insiders assume that most of the other potential GOP presidential candidates would not revoke Obama’s amnesty if elected — even though they criticize it as unconstitutional.
