Virus Crisis Will Accelerate Automation

A recent survey of businesses found that the coronavirus crisis is likely to accelerate automation of jobs now done by people. Even before the crisis, forecasters predicted that within the next decade or so computers and machines would be replacing a large percentage of human workers. Despite these predictions, immigration advocates keep on claiming that we’re facing a great shortage of labor.
