In another step toward removing or blocking undesirables from the US, Trump’s State Department has revoked a record 85,000 visas, including 8,000 student visas.
The visas have been revoked for a variety of reasons, including DUIs, assaults, and theft. Also, the State Department has revoked the visas of six Mexican executives accused of helping smuggle migrants from the Caribbean and other areas.
In addition, the administration has increased scrutiny in regard to H-1B visa applicants and has ordered the rejection of any applicant found to have participated in “censorship or attempted censorship” of protected speech in the United States.
Finally, the President has issued a travel ban for citizens of 19 foreign countries deemed to be of high risk for terrorism, visa abuse, and failure to share security information.
