Tren de Aragua a Weapon of Venezuelan Government

The massive incursion of illegals into the United States during the Biden administration has often been called — legitimately — an “invasion,” if only one by more-or-less stateless individuals. Now, a former Venezuelan army officer has revealed that the gang is actually “a state-sponsored Maduro regime organization.” José Gustavo Arocha, a former lieutenant colonel in the Venezuelan army, has told Fox News: “The real boss of the Tren de Aragua is in Caracas, Venezuela. It is the Maduro regime, because they created TdA. . . .”

Fox News writes, “Arocha said the Maduro dictatorship’s counterintelligence agency – the Directorate of Military Counterintelligence, also known as “DGCIM” – has been using TdA as an asymmetrical warfare tool. . . .”

Arocha said the TdA has been trained by the Venezuelan government and the DGCIM to support an official government agenda and a criminal ideology. The name “train from Aragua,” he said, reveals the gang’s determination to spread that ideology throughout the hemisphere. The Maduro government, according to Arocha, has already used the gang to mount crime waves in various Latin American countries, including Colombia, Peru and Chile. Arocha told Fox News:

They want to create all sorts of chaos in countries in order to shape the contours of the borders and also to create a sensation of instability [and] criminality. This kind of culture they are exporting outside from Venezuela, first of all [to] Latin America, and right now the U.S.

President-elect Trump has been criticized for calling the incursion an invasion, but if Lt. Col. Arocha is correct, that is precisely what it is, insofar as the TdA is concerned: an advance guard of violent thugs, whose mission — like that of Vladimir Lenin — is to spread a communist ideology through criminal terror.

Admitting such invaders is among the most heinous acts one can imagine a head of state committing.
