Uncontrolled migration from the Middle East is posing a significant danger to Europe, said prominent diplomat John Negroponte, who served as U.S. ambassador to the UN. A better policy, he argued, is resettlement of immigrants closer to home. Said Negroponte, “The closer you keep the refugees and the displaced people to their countries of origin, the greater the chance you have of ensuring and helping them get back to their country once the fighting has ended.”
