The New Divide: Globalists and Patriots

Following the recent protests and riots against mass immigration in Great Britain, a poll found that mass immigration is one of the leading concerns of the British people. Sadly, the elites of Britain really don’t care. That nation’s two leading parties, Conservative and Labour, want the gates left open. The Conservatives. like many of our Republicans, want migration for cheap labor, and the Labourites, like many of our Democrats, want it for cheap votes.

Political and economic elites throughout the western world are much more attuned to globalist agendas than to any particular loyalty to their native lands. They proclaim that “diversity is our strength.” What they really mean is that it’s their strength. The friction brought about by ethic and cultural diversity gives them an excuse to restrict freedom in the name of maintaining public order.

And example is freedom of speech. The elites declare that the state must safeguard the sensitivities of its protected (and favored) diverse members. The elites object to criticism of immigration on this basis. They label it “hate speech” and seek to ban it. They profess love for demographic diversity, but never for diversity of opinion. They claim they support democracy, but only for those with the proper viewpoints.

The media of the elites make every effort to demonize their opponents. They regularly describe critics if mass immigration as “far right” — as if it’s extremist to object to the obliteration a country’s traditional identity and culture. Those who support this agenda are the true extremists. Those who oppose it are moderates and patriots.

Marine Le Pen, the leader of the National Rally party in France recently observed, “There is no more left and right. The real cleavage is between the patriots and the globalists.” When the globalists call patriots “far-right,” the patriots should reply: “Better to be far-right than far-wrong.”
