New York City policemen were jumped by a gang of juvenile TdA gangbangers in Times Square on Friday night. The cops had been attempting to stop the thugs from assaulting other youngsters on the sidewalk.
Three members of the mob had been arrested by Sunday afternoon, for whatever good that might do. Not only were most under the age of adulthood (one of the leaders on Friday night was only 12), city prosecutors are known for their laxity, particularly where illegal migrants are concerned. This was the second mob attack in that area on NYC police in the past two years.
All of the known perpetrators were being housed in Manhattan’s Row Hotel at taxpayer expense.
One cop was quoted as saying:
Is this what a sanctuary city is supposed to be? One of these kids was 11 years old when he was the ringleader of that Central Park robbery pattern. What is it going to take for some of this policy to change when you have an 11, now 12-year-old, running around — or anybody — committing these crimes? When is common sense going to prevail? Don’t we have a moral obligation?
