Study: Violence Doesn’t Drive Migration

A study in Honduras by the Reflection, Research, and Communication Team found that economic conditions, rather than violence, is overwhelmingly the reason for people leaving the country. This finding helps to refute the Obama Administration’s claim that we must admit Central American migrants because they are victims of violence, and are therefore entitled to asylum. Economic migrants don’t qualify for that status.
