Study: Illegal Aliens Commit More Crimes Than Natives

Illegal alien advocates often claim is illegal aliens, aside from their unlawful status, commit fewer crimes than native-born Americans. A recent study by the Crime Prevention Center challenges this claim.  It found that illegal aliens between the ages of 15 and 35 comprise 8 percent of Arizona’s prison population, even though they are less than three percent of the state’s population. The director of the Center, John R. Lott Jr, noted that they disproportionately commit serious crimes. As one example is that they account for 13 percent of first and second degree murder convictions in Arizona.  U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions recently cited this study in a statement about crime committed by illegal aliens.
