Somali Corruption Rears Its Head in Maine

The state of Maine has long bragged about its friendly welcome to third-world immigrants, particularly those from Somalia. In 2023, the state government even created an “Office of New Americans,” which celebrated such dubious achievements as having lured at least 10,000 Somalians to the town of Lewiston, forever changing the culture — and crime rate –of that city of less than 40,000.

Now, in the wake of the eight billion-dollar scandal in Minnesota, masterminded by Somalians and covered up by corrupt politicians, the Maine Department of Health and Human Services has been forced to suspend payments to the Somali-run Gateway Community Services after audits revealed that the charity had over-billed the state for $1,068,598 from March 2021 through December 2022.

Gateway Community Services has been at the center of a series of fraud investigations for years, though through political machinations it has remained in business. Democrat politicians linked to the charity include State Senator Chloe Maxmin and Democrat strategists Joanne D’Arcangelo and B.J. McCollister, the latter of whom served in the Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign for the White House and a chief of staff to Maine Democrat Senate President Troy Jackson.

Regarding the payment suspension, Assistant Maine Senate Minority Leader Republican Matt Harrington said the following:

This is taxpayer money, and we should be looking into this, and I’m relieved that the federal government is finally stepping in, I think, largely due to the inaction of the leaders in Maine.
