Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), the Senate’s leading GOP advocate of amnesty and increased immigration, on Sunday tried to revive “comprehensive immigration reform” legislation declared dead for 2014 by most commentators after the upset defeat of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA). Appearing on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” he contended that if the GOP does nothing, they will not be able to win the White House in 2016.
“If we keep playing this game that self deportation is the only answer for the Republican Party, we will have destroyed our chances in 2016 and dealt a death blow to our party because by 2050 the majority of the country is going to be African American, Hispanic and Asian.”
